About Flickers

This story takes place in Canada, part of the land known as Turtle Island. I would like to thank the indigenous stewards of the past and present for their care of this land.  Specifically, Alex's story takes place in un-ceded Omàmìwininìwag (Algonquin) &  ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᐗᑭ (Anishinabewaki) territories. Indigenous land acknowledgement is a tradition dating back thousands of years, and I believe that acknowledging the past and current caretakers of this land helps create awareness of indigenous struggles, & will help lead us to a better and more just future for all.
